GTM Context Layer by Salespeak for HubSpot

Last verified: October 16, 2026Salespeak Engineering

The HubSpot app GTM Context Layer by Salespeak lets HubSpot workflows and Breeze agents answer from your company’s recorded knowledge in Salespeak: the same knowledge your website agent and your team’s AI assistants use. It asks for no CRM data.

Looking for the CRM integration, where Salespeak writes leads and conversations into HubSpot? See Salespeak with HubSpot as your CRM.

Connect

  1. A Salespeak admin opens Ground Truth, then Publish, in the Salespeak app.
  2. On the HubSpot · Breeze agents card, the admin clicks Connect HubSpot. HubSpot opens in a new tab.
  3. A HubSpot super admin approves the access request. It lists one permission, described under Permissions.
  4. HubSpot shows “HubSpot portal connected to Salespeak.” Back in Salespeak, the card shows connected and your portal ID.
  5. In HubSpot, add the Ask the semantic layer tool to a Breeze agent, or use it as an action in a workflow.

Tools

ToolReads or writesWhat it does
Ask the semantic layer Reads Answers a question about your company from its recorded knowledge in Salespeak. Optional inputs: a persona and a focus.
Add knowledge to the semantic layer Writes Sends text, with an optional title, to your Salespeak knowledge bank. It is queued for processing, and later answers reflect it, typically within minutes.

Answers come back as text in the tool’s output field. Unlike the Company Context connector in Claude or ChatGPT, HubSpot shows no conflict card.

First question to try

Give a Breeze agent the Ask the semantic layer tool and ask it: “What are our contract terms? One sentence for a prospect email.” A good answer states your terms as your knowledge records them. When your knowledge has no answer, the tool says so instead of guessing.

Requirements

  • A Salespeak workspace, and a Salespeak admin to start the connection.
  • A HubSpot super admin to approve the install.
  • HubSpot workflows or Breeze agents to call the tools.

Permissions

PermissionWhat Salespeak uses it for
oauth Identify your HubSpot portal, so each tool call is answered from your workspace’s knowledge. It gives no access to CRM records.

Each tool call carries the question, or the text to add, and the email of the HubSpot user who triggered it, if HubSpot sends one. Salespeak checks HubSpot’s signature on every call and rejects unsigned requests.

Disconnect

  1. In Salespeak, open Ground Truth, then Publish.
  2. On the HubSpot · Breeze agents card, click Disconnect, then Yes, disconnect.

The tools stop answering at once. Nothing is deleted, in Salespeak or in HubSpot, and you can reconnect any time with a new install link.

To remove the app from HubSpot as well:

  1. In HubSpot, click the settings icon, then Integrations, then Connected Apps.
  2. On GTM Context Layer by Salespeak, click Actions, then Uninstall.
  3. Type “uninstall” and click Uninstall.

FAQ

Does the app read our HubSpot CRM data?

No. The app asks only for the oauth scope, which identifies your portal. It cannot read or write contacts, companies, deals or any other CRM record. Questions reach it only when a workflow or a Breeze agent calls one of its tools.

Can I install it straight from the HubSpot marketplace?

Start in Salespeak instead. The install link has to come from your Salespeak workspace, because that is how the portal is tied to your company’s knowledge. An install without that link ends with “This install link is invalid or has expired.”

Is this the same as the Salespeak HubSpot CRM integration?

No. The CRM integration writes contacts, companies and conversation notes from the Salespeak website agent into HubSpot. This app gives HubSpot’s own agents your company knowledge. You can use either one, or both.

Can a Breeze agent change our company knowledge?

Only through Add knowledge to the semantic layer, and only if you add that tool to the agent. It adds text; it does not edit or delete existing knowledge. Leave it off an agent that should only read.

What does a tool return when the portal is not connected?

A message that the portal is not connected to a Salespeak workspace yet, and that an admin can connect it from the Salespeak app. The workflow continues.
